A Timeless Collection of modern logo trends that are not only for Logo trend 2020 or 2021. As a logo designer, it’s my own exploration of logo trends that works and will work in the near future.
After working with tech startups & many types of businesses in the past and understanding the need of the businesses. By looking closely I found a common flow in logos or say logo trends. So I decided to write an article on logo trends to share with the design community.

The journey of business starts with a logo that should be timeless & relevant to the business. A logo design that fits according to brand needs.
Designer life is filled with experiments. after some explorations & experience, I found out some logo trends that are and will be going to continue in the long run. it is a comprehensive guide for modern logo design trend or say logo trends that worked in the past for Big Brands in their Branding to make them stay on top & make them different from the competitor’s.

Now day’s designers are getting overwhelmed with the logo designs and being aware of the latest logo trends from time to time is a must.
All the design we see come from basics design principals & a good design process that is created by the expert designer himself & it’s an endless journey to achieve this profession & some update the logo design process time to time by being active in the community but basics never change. Recognizing these Logo trends is a part of the learning process too. This article is my way to share the logo design trends I learned while being active in the design community & sharing the logo trends process that is not going to change in the next coming year’s.

Below I divided every point in much descriptive way for a better explanation.
It’s my first article & I don’t want to get sued by any company or brand so I am using my own work for referencing the logo design trend. The work below shown below is copyright of their respective owners(client) that I worked for and I am sharing it with the permission to share.
Geometric shapes
Shapes in logos are starting to be used more simple shape to reflect the boldness of businesses, business type. Values & other aspects by just basic shapes. Using circle, line, triangle, square and rectangles. Combining these shapes gives a dramatic feel to the mark simple, clear, responsive. Logo grid makes it more expandable with the combination of multiple shapes together.
For Example just combining the 1 rectangle with 2 circles gives a powerful & Bold B shape.
Gradients
Gradients were overused in the past & seem to be the almost dead trend after flat color trend but now Gradient has risen from the dead over the last few years & Gradients will continue to rise through the new future. I personally don’t think they are going to be out of trend soon.
Minimalism
Minimalism revolution is still here and it’s not going anywhere. Logos will continue to be minimalist, simple, bold & clean.

Simple yet effective result right?
Negative Space
Negative space logos are always attention-grabbing for me. personally, I did so many of them & I think the trend is going to be continued in the near future.
It's worked by combining two objects that are appropriate according to design brief & we are good to go.
Overthink negative space logos are a disaster. Try to be simple & clever with it.
Overlapping Elements
The overlapping element logo is filled on Dribbble with bold colors & overlay effects Logos. It’s widely used to show the connection between elements. It’s going to be the next big trend with the mix of gradients & blend options.
The modern logo trends design. I mentioned above are not just the trends that are working in the current time but also going to working in the future of 2019.
Some logo trends (the 1960s) are much older than that like geometry logo trends with logo grid and others.
