Creating immersive AI experience for Intel booth at Amazon re:Invent conference.
Our team at Noomo Agency had the exciting opportunity to collaborate with ai.io, a cutting-edge company that leverages AI to analyze professional athletes’ videos for performance insights. Our goal was to create an immersive experience for Intel’s booth at the AWS re:Invent conference.
At Noomo Agency, we led the charge in crafting the kiosk’s user interface and user experience design, Additionally, we worked on integrating the kiosk system with ai.io’s advanced AI technology, responsible for analyzing and interpreting user performance.
At AWS re:Invent, the AI kiosk experience was a standout success. Our collaboration with ai.io, a pioneering AI company specializing in professional athlete video analysis, was a key factor. Together, we created an immersive experience for Intel’s booth, marked by a personalized journey leading users through interactive athletic drills.
Challenges and Innovations
With a tight deadline ahead, we needed to design an interactive kiosk for a large touchscreen. But there was a catch — we didn’t have the touchscreen at the start. So, we got creative and built a life-sized UI grid on a wall. This helped us make sure everything in the interface was easy to use, with clear buttons and the right layout, even without the actual screen. Our team’s quick thinking and flexibility were key to keeping the project on track.
A pivotal aspect of our design process was inclusivity. We integrated features to accommodate individuals with disabilities, including an adjustable interface position for wheelchair accessibility. Our attention to detail and animations was intense, aiming to craft an experience that was not only immersive but also intuitively responsive to each user’s actions.
Engaging Users
Upon engaging with the kiosk, users initiated their journey by scanning a QR code, receiving a unique identifier. This process set the stage for a personalized interaction, leading them to a series of athletic drills. The drills, meticulously designed, were not only interactive but also served as a medium for performance analysis.
A notable feature of this experience was the skeleton overlay video. This innovative element provided users with a visual representation of their movements, overlayed in skeletal form. The purpose of this feature extended beyond visual appeal; it served as a critical tool for detailed performance analysis. Users could view these overlays post-exercise, gaining insights into their physical capabilities, alongside a comprehensive scorecard reflecting their performance.
The most interactive experience at AWS re:Invent.
Among the highlights of AWS re:Invent, AI kiosk experience truly stood out as the most interactive experience. Noomo’s dedicated focus on creating an intuitive and accessible interface, with special considerations for individuals with disabilities, resulted in a final product that seamlessly blended high-end UI/UX design, engaging animations, and AI technology integration. This effort garnered us positive feedback from users and a high engagement rate.
